Novax Recruitment Ltd is assisting a specialist steelwork business in Newport to recruit an experienced Structural Steel Estimator. You will take ownership from initial enquiry through tender submission and work closely with engineering, project management, procurement and commercial teams to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

The role requires strong reading of structural drawings, understanding fabrication and erection costs, and the ability to price materials, labour and installation while

Formación

• Experience reading structural drawings and understanding fabrication requirements.
• Ability to price materials, labour and installation.
• Identify exclusions, risks and commercial costs in tenders.

Responsabilidades

• Review incoming tender enquiries.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Prepare detailed estimates and commercial quotations.
• Complete accurate quantities and take-offs for structural steelwork.
• Price materials, fabrication, labour and installation.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Compare quotations to ensure the best commercial solution.
• Identify exclusions, assumptions and potential project risks.
• Clarify technical and commercial requirements with clients and contractors.
• Ensure tenders are accurate, competitive and submitted on time.
• Support post-tender reviews and improve estimating processes.
