Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimator in Wakefield to convert drawings into competitive tenders and secure major structural steel projects. You will work with design, commercial, and delivery teams to deliver accurate costings and robust bids.

Qualifications

Previous estimating experience within construction or engineering.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong commercial awareness with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships.
Ability to manage multiple tenders while working to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate and competitive estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
Identify commercially viable opportunities and assess project risks.
Build strong client relationships while supporting new business opportunities.
Work closely with design, commercial and project delivery teams through the tender process.
Prepare detailed costings and tender submissions within agreed timescales.
Help shape bid strategies to maximise competitiveness and profitability.
