Job summary

ALUP, part of the Atlas Copco Group, seeks a senior planner to lead a team of service planners organising the day-to-day activities of field service engineers from our Warrington office. You will guarantee efficient operations and ensure all planned service requirements are met promptly and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organising skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
• High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience of working with SAP and planning tools, however training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service planners across the business in UK & Ireland ensuring engineers and systems are utilised efficiently.
• Ensure all team members are trained on relevant platforms.
• Effectively manage the use of the SAP planning systems, ensuring they are utilised by the team effectively.
• Carry out day-to-day people management administrative tasks for the planning team, such as annual leave approvals and performance feedback appraisals.
• Set engineer’s work schedules to maximise efficiency and minimise non-utilised hours.
• Liaise with customers by phone or e-mail to arrange and confirm service visits and ensure they are aware of the work and date.
• Provide customers with relevant risk assessments, method statements and engineer certification.
• Monitor and record progress of all customer orders to guarantee work is completed and any additional work is planned.
• Maintain all orders within SAP, confirming work allocation for quality reporting.
• Collate information from Field Service Engineers to maintain customer records.
• Regularly liaise with Field Service Engineers and internal departments to expedite requests.
