Job summary

Ideagen is hiring a Sales Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with Account Executives to demonstrate how Ideagen's solutions solve complex business challenges. You will own the technical sales cycle from discovery through to proof-of-value, influencing deal strategy and driving successful outcomes. Location - Nottinghamshire, UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting or technical pre-sales role within enterprise software.
• Demonstrated track record of owning technical sales engagements and contributing to successful deal closure.
• Strong discovery, presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels, including executive audiences.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional sales teams to drive customer outcomes and revenue growth.
• Experience within regulated industries such as EHS, Quality or Compliance would be advantageous.
• Experience working within a global or matrixed organisation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales cycle for your opportunities, leading discovery sessions, product demonstrations and proof-of-value activities from qualification through to close.
• Partner closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to develop deal strategy, support pipeline growth and progress opportunities successfully.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects, understanding business challenges and positioning appropriate solutions.
• Lead technical validation activities, including RFIs, security questionnaires and customer technical assessments.
• Present Ideagen's AI capabilities using approved messaging, customer use cases and business-focused value propositions.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Ideagen's EHS, Quality and Compliance solutions and their application across different industries.
• Identify technical risks early, provide recommendations and support successful deal execution through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
