Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Portfolio Risk Management Advisor to shape how risk management is delivered across the FCRM Portfolio, Programme and Projects. You will lead on identification, assessment and analysis of portfolio risks, providing insight to senior leaders to influence strategic decisions and risk maturity across England.

You will collaborate with programme teams and portfolio leaders to ensure risks are understood, challenged and escalated appropriately, strengthening risk

Qualifications

• Proven experience in portfolio, programme or project risk management.
• Ability to translate complex risk data into clear reports for senior leaders.
• Strong collaboration and influence skills across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and analysis of portfolio-level risks and emerging threats.
• Develop and embed risk management approaches across portfolio, programme and project levels.
• Provide expert risk management advice to programme and project teams.
• Support governance and assurance activities through robust risk analysis and reporting.
• Drive improvements in risk management tools, processes and ways of working.
• Build strong relationships across the portfolio to promote a proactive risk culture.
