Job summary
Environment Agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join our Evidence Services and Technical Delivery Teams. You will support and provide assurance to complex and high-profile flood risk modelling, leading technical delivery and coaching others.
You will work across the FCRM Directorate, collaborating with Risk Assessment, Head of Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling, and Centres of Excellence, while contributing to an inclusive, flexible workplace
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge in flood modelling and hydrology.
- Experience building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting.
- Data processing and GIS experience.
- Mentoring and coaching with commitment to development.
- Clear communication of complex problems to non-experts.
- Inclusive mindset and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity.
- Influencing and persuading others.
Responsibilities
- Support and provide assurance to complex and high-profile flood risk modelling.
- Provide technical leadership to six Fluvial Delivery Teams.
- Collaborate across the FCRM Directorate and Centres of Excellence.
- Contribute to high-quality outcomes across Environment Agency services.
- Promote inclusive and flexible working practices.
