Job summary

Environment Agency in England is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join the Evidence Services team. You will support and provide assurance to complex flood risk modelling across multiple delivery teams, ensuring rigorous methodologies and reliable outputs.

You will mentor colleagues, share best practices, and communicate complex results effectively to non-expert audiences while collaborating across the FCRM Directorate to enhance tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Extensive experience building hydraulic flood models in fluvial settings and using GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide assurance to complex and high-profile flood risk modelling.
• Coach and mentor others to develop modelling skills and methods.
• Collaborate with delivery teams across Evidence Services to improve processes and outputs.
