Job summary
Mackinnon Bruce International is recruiting a Market Development Executive in the UK (Hybrid). You will research target markets, engage with prospective customers across FMCG, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and related sectors, and identify upcoming automation projects.
You will work with Business Development Managers to generate qualified opportunities, qualify leads, and arrange meetings for the external sales team.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, lead generation or inside sales.
- Ability to identify and qualify future automation projects and opportunities.
- Proven track record engaging with manufacturers and key decision-makers.
- Strong CRM and prospecting tools experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Responsibilities
- Research target markets and prospective customers across manufacturing sectors.
- Generate new business opportunities via telephone, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
- Identify Engineering Managers, Operations Directors, Project Managers and other decision-makers.
- Qualify opportunities and understand customer requirements, timelines and budgets.
- Arrange meetings and technical discussions for the external sales team.
- Build relationships with prospective customers until projects become sales-ready.
