Job summary

Our client, a leading OEM specialising in packaging machinery, seeks a Sales Manager to drive new business across Central and Southern UK from a home-based base. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will develop sales enquiries, visit clients, and coordinate with technical teams to specify machinery.

Occasional European travel is required. The role offers an excellent base (£55k-£60k), a company car, and a bonus with an OTE around £70k, with clear career progression in the food & FMCG sector.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales of packaging and/or automated machinery.
• Experience selling to the food & FMCG manufacturing sectors.
• Sufficient technical or engineering knowledge to engage with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow-up sales enquiries and undertake client visits.
• Sales and business development activities including prospecting, sales calls and marketing work as required.
• Liaise with external clients and internal technical teams to specify machinery for customer requirements.
• Attend product/trade exhibitions & events.
• Provide regular sales activity reports to directors.
