Job summary

Bowdon Associates Limited is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to win new maintenance and compliance business for a UK lift company. Location is Manchester with a salary of £40,000–£50,000 plus package.

You will generate leads, convert inbound inquiries and build long-term client relationships, handling portfolios of up to nine lifts and promoting LOLER compliance services. The role requires strong B2B sales, lead generation and negotiation skills, with emphasis on CRM proficiency

Qualifications

• B2B sales experience, ideally in lift/technical services.
• Strong lead generation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisation and CRM proficiency.
• Knowledge of lift maintenance and LOLER regulations desirable.
• Ambitious and commercially driven with targets and earning potential.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach and market research.
• Build relationships with facilities managers, property managers, managing agents and building owners.
• Manage and convert inbound enquiries for portfolios of up to nine lifts.
• Produce quotations and professional service proposals, and negotiate maintenance contracts within pricing parameters.
• Hold remote customer meetings via Teams, with site visits where appropriate.
• Promote in-house compliance services, including LOLER inspections.
• Identify strategic account opportunities and refer to Head of Service Sales.
• Keep CRM pipeline and sales forecast up to date.
• Manage enquiries through shared sales inbox and respond promptly.
