Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage a strategic portfolio across the Midlands as well as the South West. This remote role requires regular UK travel for client pitches and site visits, with responsibilities spanning account planning, relationship development, and value-led packaging solutions.

You will partner with Design, Innovation and Operations to deliver growth, negotiate effectively, and drive efficiency while maintaining strong customer engagement and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Proven success in an Account Management role within FMCG or packaging; ability to drive growth and retention.
• Full driving license and reliable vehicle for UK travel.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with occasional travel.
• Strong business acumen and negotiation skills to handle conflicts and stakeholder management.
• Experience analysing financial insights to drive actions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead account plans to secure organic revenue growth and margin improvements with existing customers.
• Build deep partnerships across FMCG and industrial sectors to drive loyalty and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Design and Innovation to translate needs into sustainable packaging offerings.
• Manage account metrics and provide accurate sales forecasts via the CRM system.
• Collaborate with regional sales networks and operations to maximise market opportunities.
