Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Director - HV Cable System Design to lead high-voltage cabling projects across the UK and Continental Europe. You will set specifications, review designs and drive technical excellence in HV/EHV systems.

With extensive experience in HV and EHV cable design, HVAC/HVDC, and familiarity with National Grid and DNO standards, you will guide FEED and detailed design efforts and mentor the project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the energy sector with consultancy, contractor or utility.
• Experience leading HV/EHV cable design across project stages.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV/EHV cabling system specifications and design reviews.
• Provide technical support across HV cable system engineering.
• Prepare technical specifications, route specs and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with CDM, legislation and company procedures.
