Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Director - HV Cable System Design to support a range of high-profile projects in the Power & Energy portfolio. The role covers HV AIS/GIS substations, transmission assets, HVDC interconnectors and energy storage systems.

The successful candidate will lead HV/EHV cabling design across project stages, perform technical calculations, and ensure compliance with CDM and industry standards while collaborating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Extensive experience in cable design for HV/EHV projects in energy sector.
• Experience with consultancy, contractor or utility environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV/EHV cabling system specifications, concept/detailed design and reviews.
• Provide technical support on HV cable system engineering and design.
• Prepare technical specifications, route specs and tender documents.
• Conduct design verification, risk assessments and interface with other functions.
