Job summary

ExtraCare Charitable Trust in Coventry is seeking an experienced Housing Manager to lead social housing regulation, resident engagement and regulatory assurance across our retirement communities.

You will provide strategic leadership for Housing Management and related services, ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing, Consumer Standards and resident-focused service delivery across multiple locations with a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or social housing with strategic regulatory leadership.
• Knowledge of the RSH Consumer Standards and landlord responsibilities.
• Level 4 housing management qualification.
• Ability to develop assurance frameworks and monitor compliance.
• Strong relationship-building with residents and partners.

Responsibilities

• Act as the strategic lead for social housing regulatory compliance and Consumer Standards.
• Develop and maintain a housing compliance and assurance framework with monitoring and risk escalation.
• Lead interpretation and implementation of Consumer Standards across services, including safety and quality, tenancy management, transparency and accountability.
• Support locations with tenancy management, including sign-ups, breaches, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, notice periods and terminations.
• Build strong relationships with housing partners to meet resident expectations and standards.
• Keep up to date with housing legislation and regulatory requirements; reflect changes in policy and training.
• Provide clear assurance to senior leaders on compliance and resident experience.
• Lead Resident Forums, including agenda planning, liaison with Chairs and minutes.
• Promote Resident Associations and resident involvement approaches.
• Work with Local Authorities and partners to improve service delivery and outcomes.
