Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an experienced Housing Compliance Manager to lead our compliance services and ensure residents live in safe, well-maintained homes that meet the highest regulatory standards.

In this senior leadership role, you will oversee housing compliance programmes, manage specialist contractors, lead audits and inspections, monitor performance and risk, and develop a high-performing team while embedding compliance at the heart of our housing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in housing compliance or asset management.
• Understands housing legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
• Confidently manages contracts, budgets, risk and performance.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing teams.
• Passionate about resident safety, customer service and outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Lead delivery of housing compliance programmes ensuring statutory landlord obligations are met.
• Maintain strategic oversight of compliance risks across the housing portfolio and remedial actions.
• Ensure resident health, safety and wellbeing in all compliance activities through engagement and communication.
• Lead internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and codes.
