Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Supported Housing Regulatory Compliance Lead Officer to provide senior technical leadership on supported housing and Housing Benefit compliance. You will work across Housing, Homelessness, Adult Social Care, Children's Services and external providers to ensure regulatory standards are met and public funds are protected.

With the new Supported Housing regulatory framework coming in 2027, you will help shape governance, standards and quality assurance

Qualifications

• Experience in Housing Benefit legislation and its application in supported or temporary accommodation.
• Ability to interpret complex housing and regulatory guidance and translate into operational guidance.
• Experience working with housing providers, landlords and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership on supported housing and Housing Benefit compliance.
• Review accommodation models, analyse rent structures and support arrangements.
• Assess Housing Benefit implications and provide guidance on compliance, quality and value for money.
• Represent the Council at regional and national forums to share best practice.
