Job summary

Jersey Electricity plc is seeking a strategic Head of Internal Audit and Risk based in Jersey. The role leads the internal audit function, develops risk management framework and provides independent assurance to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee.

You will oversee governance, regulatory compliance and risk reporting, coordinate with co-sourced providers, and drive improvements across financial processes, ESG disclosures and sustainability reporting.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior leadership experience in internal audit/risk management.
• Experience leading an internal audit function and managing co-sourced providers.
• Strong knowledge of 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards and risk-based audit.
• Experience delivering an audit plan with Board engagement.
• Familiarity with COSO ERM, ISO 31000 and the Three Lines Model.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal audit function with day-to-day oversight and strategic direction.
• Own the approved Internal Audit Plan and prioritise based on risk.
• Escalate significant audit issues and ensure independence.
• Manage audit methodology and Charter per standards.
• Review scopes, working papers and reports for evidence and value.
• Report to Finance Director and Audit and Risk Committee; engage with the Board.
