Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency seeks to place a Senior Internal Audit Manager in Guernsey. This full-time, permanent role will represent the Internal Audit function across the business, directing local activities and delivering the annual audit plan to support strong controls and governance.

You will manage the Internal Audit team, foster talent, and promote best practices while maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders and regulators as required.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified Internal Audit leader with strong knowledge of internal control, risk management, and governance principles.
• Proven experience in internal audit and understanding of control and risk management concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities for team settings.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage local Internal Audit activity aligning with methodology, standards and priorities.
• Develop and deliver the annual internal audit plan to support controls, risk management and governance.
• Deliver commercially focused audits with clear reporting and actionable recommendations.
• Hold line management responsibility for the Internal Audit team.
• Identify and nurture talent to meet performance objectives and deadlines.
• Lead and motivate teams with inclusive leadership and accountability.
