Mabey Hire is seeking a Business Development Manager for Scotland, based in Glasgow, to drive growth across civil engineering and construction sectors. You will develop and manage high-value client relationships, identify and pursue new opportunities, and coordinate with the sales team to push opportunities through from early engagement to order.

The role requires proven revenue growth and a strong network of key accounts, with a track record of delivering value in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Sales and Business Development experience in a multi-site environment.
• Minimum of 3 years customer facing commercial experience in hire or related industry.
• Civil Engineering or Construction sector knowledge.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and business development.
• Strong network of key client accounts.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate expert knowledge of frameworks, appointed contractors and schemes within defined sectors.
• Create an engagement plan to deliver new growth revenue within the sector.
• Be the sector expert on frameworks, contacts and decision makers to realise opportunities.
• Develop relationships with principal clients and delivery partners to raise Mabey Hire profile upstream in the specification process.
• Coordinate with Sales Function to ensure follow-up of identified schemes and CRM recording.
• Evaluate industry sectors for opportunities and align to customers.
• Communicate market drivers and opportunities for development to grow the business.
