Job summary

Bettys & Taylors is seeking an accomplished Group Financial Controller to lead our accounting, tax, treasury and transactional finance teams. You will be the guardian of financial integrity and liquidity, ensuring accurate information, robust governance and the financial capability to support growth.

Qualifications

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA).
• Experience leading multiple finance teams (accounting, tax, treasury).
• Treasury, liquidity and cash management experience.
• Tax compliance experience (CT, VAT).
• FX risk management and hedging experience (USD exposure).
• Governance, controls and external audit liaison experience.
• High ethical standards and senior stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop accounting, tax, treasury and transactional finance teams.
• Ensure monthly results, statutory accounts and integrity.
• Maintain compliance with UK GAAP and accounting standards.
• Strengthen financial control framework and governance.
• Lead group tax compliance (CT, VAT) and other taxes.
• Oversee statutory audit process and external auditors.
• Manage group bank accounts, treasury and payment processes.
• Advance liquidity, cash-flow and working capital.
• Manage FX hedging for USD exposure.
• Advise senior leaders on financial risks and opportunities.
• Monitor financial legislation and governance developments.
• Define success measures for financial control.
• Contribute to Group Finance Leadership Team and strategy.
