Job summary

Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate seeks an accomplished Group Financial Controller to lead the Group's accounting, tax, treasury and transactional finance teams. You will oversee monthly results, statutory accounts and robust governance to support growth and liquidity.

This is a senior, highly influential role within the Group Finance Leadership Team. The position reports to the Group Finance Director and requires strategic, technical and commercial acumen with strong leadership and external

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA credentials.
Experience leading multiple finance teams across accounting, tax, treasury and transactional finance.
Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance and external reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead accounting, tax, treasury and transactional finance teams, building a culture of accountability.
Maintain integrity of monthly results and statutory accounts; ensure UK GAAP compliance.
Improve financial control framework with policies, controls and monitoring.
Lead tax compliance including Corporation Tax and VAT; manage HMRC expectations.
Oversee statutory audits and external reporting; manage bank accounts and liquidity.
Direct FX hedging strategy management for significant USD exposure.
Provide financial risk insights to Group Finance Director and senior leadership.
