Job summary

Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership to the Bettys & Taylors Group and shape the future direction of finance across the business.

As a member of the Bettys Leadership Team and the Group Finance Leadership Team, you will translate complex analysis into commercial insight, coach high performing teams and partner closely with the Taylors Finance Director.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CPA).
• Experience leading finance teams, ideally in FMCG/retail multisite environments.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders across disciplines.
• Strong commercial awareness and contribution to strategy beyond Finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to the Bettys Leadership Team.
• Translate financial analysis into clear, actionable commercial insight and recommendations.
• Co‑lead and coach the Group finance partnering team to ensure consistency across the Group.
• Develop a high‑performing team culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee investment appraisal, capital expenditure and trade/promotional effectiveness.
• Partner with procurement to align finance, commercial decisions and wider priorities.
