Job summary

South Western Railway is seeking a fully qualified senior finance professional to lead UK financial operations, including accounts receivable, payable, treasury, UK SoX, internal audit, and financial systems development.

You will oversee management accounting, external audit, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and group reporting, working closely with the board. Strong leadership, Excel and SAP skills essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with PQE in a similar role.
• Solid financial accounting experience and people management.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and SAP/SAP BI/SAP BPC advantageous.
• Ability to lead and influence diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Production and delivery of the Statutory accounts, ORR Levy, AAR and other external financial reporting.
• Management of the External Audit and Statutory Reporting Processes.
• Guide and assist the business on compliance with Financial Policies.
• Lead Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting and reporting to the Board.
• Oversee Inventory reconciliations and Intercompany processes.
• Deliver purchase order management and goods receipting training.
