Job summary

Scottish Rail Holdings is seeking a Finance Manager to provide finance management support across SRH, with responsibility for financial analysis, reporting, oversight, and challenge.

The role includes oversight and review of Train Operators’ periodic reporting packs, budgets, and forecasts, delivering insight on financial performance and value for money, and preparing board papers for review by the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

• Provide finance management support across SRH, with responsibility for financial analysis, reporting, oversight, and challenge.
• Oversee Train Operators periodic reporting packs, budgets, and forecasts, offering insight on financial performance, risks, opportunities, and value for money.
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of Grant in Aid requests to Transport Scotland.
• Consolidate and interpret financial data for SRH and prepare clear, decision-focused SRH Finance Board papers.
• Provide line management to a Finance Assistant handling routine finance administration including invoices and purchase orders.
