Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Director to lead the delivery of the engineering programme, owning the engineering delivery and reviewing submittals. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to shape the programme, governance, and technical strategy, reporting to the Project Director.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance with BMS procedures, and collaboration across functions to drive safe, high-integrity delivery on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading engineering management of large, multi-disciplinary workstreams.
• Experience delivering engineering in regulated environments withQuality and Environmental controls.
• Proven ability to develop engineering strategy, governance, and training plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the engineering function in accordance with BMS procedures.
• Organise the engineering function to fit business needs and define reporting structures.
• Accountable for development of engineering strategy and delivery to business plan.
• Develop and maintain an engineering Operations Sales capability with senior stakeholders.
• Represent engineering at PARs and management meetings.
• Mentor line management and career development for the engineering team.
• Develop engineering recruitment plans and capacity planning.
• Oversee safe, compliant design, specification, and construction of critical infrastructure.
