Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multi-discipline design teams across the full project lifecycle for defence and nuclear clients in the UK. The role involves delivering projects from FEED through detailed design, procurement, construction and handover, with regulatory permissions and site access requirements.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will foster collaboration with Project and Programme Managers, drive quality and cost/schedule targets, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline and CEng member of a recognised professional institute.
• Demonstrable experience of involvement in similar design focused projects.

Responsibilities

• Experience and familiarity with designing for delivery/implementation and associated project construction and execution.
• Familiarity with and application of current standards within their own skill set with an overarching appreciation of multi-design interactions and interfaces.
• Understanding of design and development processes and their governance.
• Knowledge of legislation and standards relating to safety in engineering.
• Experience of a structured approach to requirements capture, using systems engineering principles and appropriate software tools
• Candidates should demonstrate in depth experience and capability across multi-discipline engineering design.
• Experience of engineering delivery in-line with NEC commercial arrangements.
