Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking an Engineering Delivery Director to oversee our multi-disciplinary engineering organization. You will translate strategic technical needs into structure, talent, and processes to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery across multiple product development programs focused on satellite RF electronics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in satellite communications or related R&D sectors.
• 3+ years in senior engineering leadership managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex electronics products with embedded software, mechanical design, and RF engineering.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end satellite communication system architectures (GEO, MEO, LEO).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Systems, Hardware, Digital, and Software disciplines.
• Own daily execution, engineering processes, capacity planning, and governance to ensure high-quality program delivery.
• Design and refine an engineering organizational structure that scales with company growth.
• Manage forecast loading vs. capacity to inform bids and hiring; oversee the engineering budget, including R&D allocation.
• Assist with major RFI/RFP bid responses and present technical updates in board/executive meetings.
• Support the complete systems engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through test, production, and deployment.
