Job summary

Safetykleen is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to own a portfolio of around 600 active customer accounts. This relationship-led role focuses on driving consistent cash collection while protecting account relationships, working closely with Sales and Operations to resolve queries.

You’ll spot risk early, influence internally, and prevent debt escalation. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a path to progression within Finance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in credit control.
• Confident communicator able to handle payment conversations professionally.
• Organised with attention to detail and resilient in managing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own an account ledger, driving timely payment and maintaining strong relationships.
• Monitor ledger performance (DSO, aged debt, disputes) and take proactive action.
• Resolve billing queries/disputes with internal teams to remove blockers.
• Process and allocate payments (including card and cheque).
• Maintain clear notes and records in CRM.
• Flag risks early and agree next steps with stakeholders and customers.
