Job summary

WH Finance Ltd is seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to own the debtor book and lead the Credit Control function within the finance team. You will drive end-to-end credit-control processes, assess new customers, set credit limits, and work with Sales, Customer Service and insurers to protect cash flow.

You will lead and develop a Credit Control team, delivering accurate reporting to the Finance Director and senior management while monitoring performance and risk across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end credit-control processes.
• Proven track record of reducing DSO and overdue debt.
• Experience leading a Credit Control team.
• Experience producing management reports for senior management/directors.
• Strong Excel skills for aged debt reports, reconciliations and data handling.
• Knowledge of credit insurance, credit referencing and debt recovery.
• Experience setting or reviewing customer credit limits.
• Strong negotiation skills for difficult conversations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end credit-control process across the business.
• Assess new customers and set appropriate credit limits.
• Collect overdue debt and manage disputes/recoveries.
• Lead, coach and develop the Credit Control team.
• Provide clear reporting to Finance Director and senior management.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, insurers and external partners.
• Ensure robust credit-control processes and cash flow protection.
