Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience at Commercial Manager level
• Wholesale, distribution, import or product-led background
• Strong commercial judgement and understanding of cost, price, margin and profitability

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of pricing, margins and profitability, considering market conditions, competition, import costs and customer requirements.
• Negotiating pricing, supplier terms, rebates and commercial agreements.
• Reviewing landed costs, freight, duties and other import-related costs to support informed pricing decisions.
• Managing and improving stock and order control, including reviewing reorder cycles and stock levels.
• Developing forecasting models and providing commercial insight for financial planning.
• Monitoring sales, margins, stock turnover and supplier performance.
• Building strong relationships with overseas suppliers and supporting sourcing activities.
• Providing commercial reporting and insight to senior management.
