Job summary

Cummins Mellor in Blackburn is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join our sales team. This role blends customer service, account development and proactive selling, contacting customers by phone and email to identify opportunities and drive sales.

You'll work closely with Key Account Managers, manage CRM records, prepare quotations and support product launches. Benefits include 30 days holiday, pension, private medical insurance and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Good negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact existing, prospective and new customers to promote products and services
• Identify, develop and progress sales opportunities against individual and company targets
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
• Reactivate dormant accounts and identify opportunities for account growth
• Qualify sales enquiries and arrange appointments for Key Account Managers
• Analyse customer sales data and identify fluctuations, trends and opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer records and activity on the CRM system
• Work closely with Marketing to support new product launches, campaigns and special offers
• Handle incoming sales enquiries and provide a professional, responsive service
• Prepare quotations, check stock availability and process and progress customer orders
