Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Kent, UK, seeks a motivated Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a major £45 million infrastructure project from ECI through handover. You will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and drive performance, governance and value across the project with close collaboration with delivery teams.

You will mentor a team of quantity surveyors and professionals, oversee forecasts, budgeting, cost control and contract administration under NEC terms while

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• MRICS membership is preferred.
• Experience leading commercial teams within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or construction environments.
• Strong cost control, forecasting, cash management, and reporting processes.
• Experience with NEC contracts, including compensation events, early warnings, change management, and contract administration.
• Experience managing both main contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Ability to analyse complex commercial data and present clear recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial function for a major infrastructure project through pre-construction, delivery, and handover phases.
• Provide leadership to a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals.
• Manage the commercial performance of contracts, ensuring governance, compliance, and effective financial control.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, cost management, cash flow reporting, and commercial performance reporting.
• Lead change management activities to maximise value and manage risk.
• Manage subcontract procurement, administration, and performance.
• Produce and present clear commercial reports for senior stakeholders.
