Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Commercial Manager with strong NEC experience to join a growing UK engineering and infrastructure group delivering design, consultancy, project management and construction services across utilities, energy and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will provide commercial leadership across live projects, support Project Managers and Directors, negotiate contracts and help protect and improve project profitability.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial management experience in engineering, infrastructure, utilities or construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts (ECC/PSC).
• Experience with contract amendments and 'Z' Clauses.
• Proven ability to review contracts and negotiate effectively.
• Solid understanding of compensation events, change control, and final accounts.
• Experience supporting live projects and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across live projects.
• Support tenders and bids with contract risk reviews.
• Assist Directors and project teams on commercial risk.
• Manage compensation events, variations, and claims.
• Improve consistency of commercial management across the group.
