Galliford Try is seeking a Bid Writer to join the team in the East Midlands/Cambridge area. You will craft high-quality bid responses, coordinate content with stakeholders, and drive the submissions process to win tenders.

The role requires excellent writing skills, a proven bid-writing background in construction, and flexibility to travel across regional sites. This is a full-time position supporting multiple offices in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in bid writing within the construction sector.
• Strong written English and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and also use own initiative.
• Proven track record in preparing bid responses.
• Flexible to meet deadlines and travel to sites as needed.

Responsabilités

• Write high-quality winning proposal documents and coordinate content.
• Manage the submissions process when required.
• Gather technical information from internal departments to build bespoke bids.
• Develop strategic themes and storyboard proposals for tenders.
• Ensure proposals align with tender programme requirements and standards.
• Proofread material and contribute technical and commercial writing skills.
• Create bespoke proposals, templates and style sheets.
• Build relationships with key business sector teams.
• Produce high-quality documents and submissions by deadlines.
• Review past submissions to capture learnings for future bids.
• Produce promotional materials and award submissions.
• Manage submission content as part of the bid process.
• Assemble and shape construction information into compelling submissions.
• Write and edit capability statements and expressions of interest documents.
• Liaise with Pre-construction for technical content.
