Job summary

Galliford Try Group seeks a Bid Manager to lead strategically important bids and frame­work opportunities across the UK. You will own bid strategy, manage bid teams, and act as the main point of contact with clients and design teams.

The role requires proven bid management experience in construction or consultancy, excellent written English, and the flexibility to travel to clients and sites across the UK. You’ll drive risk-managed, high-quality submissions on time.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified – preferably in a subject with a focus on high-quality written work.
• Experience in consultancy or construction business.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK.
• Adaptable and able to handle changing project requirements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and desktop publishing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategically important bids and framework bids.
• Own and coordinate Bid Teams; act as main client/design team contact.
• Set bid strategy, develop programmes, allocate deliverables, and engage clients.
• Analyse PQQ and Tender docs; assemble and manage bid resources.
• Lead tender reviews and report progress to Unit Directors.
• Develop risk mitigation and alternative proposals.
• Contribute to planning, programming, and construction methodologies.
• Deliver high-quality bids aligned to client requirements.
