Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Bid Writer to join the team in the East Midlands area, with offices in Leicester and Cambridge. The role involves creating compelling tender responses, coordinating content from multiple internal teams and ensuring submissions meet deadlines and quality standards.

You will work across the Bid team to develop strategic themes, draft and edit capability statements, and contribute to promotional materials while travelling to sites across the region when required.

Qualifications

• Industry knowledge of Bid Writing within the Construction market.
• Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative.
• Proven track record in the sector or similar role.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
• Flexibility to meet time pressures to deliver high quality submissions on time.
• Exceptional writing, editing and copy-writing skills.
• Adaptability and drive to progress the role into other areas including Business Development as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality winning proposal documents, including producing, coordinating and editing written content.
• Manage the submissions process where required.
• Contribute to the bid team by gathering technical information from internal departments to compile a high-quality bespoke solution.
• Participate in story boarding and development of strategic themes.
• Ensure all proposals align with tender programme requirements.
• Ensure submissions are of the highest quality and aligned with bid management standards.
• Proofread material and provide technical and commercial writing skills.
