Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a Bid Writer to develop compelling written responses for national framework and project tenders. Based in the UK with home-based flexibility and some travel, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to craft high-quality proposals and win themes.

You will manage multiple tender programmes, coordinate content, and utilise AI tools to support efficient response development.

Qualifications

• Industry-specific knowledge of Bid Writing within the construction sector.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
• Flexibility to meet time pressures to deliver high-quality submissions on time.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality proposal documents by coordinating, producing, and editing written content.
• Own question content as part of the bid process, contributing to the bid team throughout the tender process.
• Gather and assess information to align client drivers with our proposed solution.
• Lead collaborative workshops to support response planning, and win theme and solution development.
• Meet deadlines in agreement with the Bid Managers/Bid Leads across multiple workstreams.
• Maintain exacting quality standards, including in the use of AI tools to aid response development and bespoke template documentation.
• Carry out thorough preparation work and development of repeatable collateral to use within bids.
• Undertake research to inform best practice, and sharing learning across our internal social media channels.
• Build and develop relationships with key business sector teams, including our GLOBE knowledge management team, providing concise information to support their roles.
• Analyse and review previous submissions and client feedback, capturing learning for trend analysis and response improvement.
• Produce award submissions and case study information.
• Present information using tools such as PowerPoint and Teams
