Job summary

Galliford Try Group is recruiting a Bid Director to lead major bid and framework submissions for the Environment Business in the UK. You will direct multidisciplinary bid teams from qualification to submission, ensuring strategic alignment with client drivers and profitable outcomes.

The role requires senior bid leadership experience, strong governance discipline and capability to engage with executive-level clients across water and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in work-winning, bid leadership or business development in infrastructure/sectors.
• Proven success leading major framework bids and strategic pursuits.
• Experience operating at senior bid leadership level.
• Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
• Proven track record securing high-value, profitable contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Experience building relationships with executive-level clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead major bid and framework submissions across the Environment Business.
• Analyse tender packages and resource bid teams.
• Develop win strategies aligned to client drivers and objectives.
• Plan submissions with milestones and gates.
• Produce high-quality, compliant tender submissions.
• Chair bid team meetings with cross-functional inputs.
• Governance and approval process adherence.
• Present strategies to senior leadership.
