Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is expanding its sales team and seeks a Strategic Account Manager focused on our largest utilities and EPC customers. The role requires senior sales experience, the ability to build lasting relationships, and a proactive, creative approach to delivering solutions for a carbon-neutral future.

You will lead account strategies, manage executive relationships, and forecast opportunities while representing Hitachi Energy at industry events.

Qualifications

• Proven senior sales experience in energy or related sectors.
• Experience managing strategic customer relationships.
• Track record of growing accounts and lifetime value.
• Experience in leading complex solution-based opportunities.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present to board-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify key business drivers for customers and Hitachi Energy.
• Develop sales strategies for the account.
• Create and implement account plans with governance and forecast.
• Own strategic account relationships and engage at senior levels.
• Maintain knowledge of customer strategy, decisions, and market trends.
• Lead conversations at board level and in external forums.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events.
• Develop clear sales pipeline and forecast management.
• Achieve service sales volume by selling full service portfolio.
• Participate in major contract negotiations.
