Aon is currently recruiting a Strategic Account Manager to join our GBC Natural Resources team, based in London.

The role is for an individual with deep technical knowledge and the ability to drive strategic thinking and strategy for complex clients within the Aon portfolio. This will be combined with specific objectives for client retention, and both existing and new business development within the specialty line of business.

Core functional activities:

Provide strategic direction for key clients supporting short and long-term risk management decisions and strategy, including:

  • Leading RfP response processes
  • Driving new business initiatives for specific geographies
  • Managing client relationships (direct clients and/or network office)
  • Leading client meetings and managing key insurer engagement
  • Providing technical wording advice to clients/network
  • Offering technical training and guidance to colleagues
  • Coaching and mentoring team members

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and compliance with company policies, including participation in risk management activities and mandatory training to safeguard the business, interests, and reputation of the organization.
