Job summary

Saab UK in Fareham is seeking a Stores Operative to join our logistics team. You will receive and process stock, pick and pack orders, and ensure accurate labelling and safe storage according to MRP.

The role requires warehouse experience, ability to work at height, and familiarity with ERP systems; forklift experience is desirable. You should be enthusiastic, hardworking and quick to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and materials via Goods Inwards and process them per the MRP schedule.
• Process all goods receipt documentation including scanning and resolve booking issues with purchasing.
• Locate stock in correct locations from QC/Good Inwards and ensure safe storage and stock rotation.
• Label and pack stock to ensure identification and prevent contamination or damage.
• Pick work orders and sales orders according to picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general store duties: loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment as needed.
• Keep yard organised, clean and stock positioned by size, including COSHH cabinet and oil store.
• Support waste collection processes in line with business needs.
• Respond to hatch enquiries with appropriate urgency.
• Process online store requisitions accurately and timely.
• Maintain stock accuracy and report discrepancies to Materials Supervisor.
• Ensure systems and orders are packed well and labelled for courier collections.
• Order crates and packing materials in time to meet deadlines.
• Undertake other duties as required by Head of Unit.
