Job summary

Co-op Group in Whitstable is seeking a Customer Team Leader to supervise a small team in a fast-paced store. You will lead shifts, support daily operations on the shop floor and tills, and help drive merchandising and stock accuracy while promoting Co-op membership and community engagement.

The role is part-time (20 hours/week) with regular overtime and permanent contract, with varied shifts including mornings, afternoons and at least one weekend shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading a small store team is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store on your shift.
• Motivate and coach the team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Support store operations on the shop floor and tills and oversee a team of Customer Team Members.
• Contribute to merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op membership and community engagement.
