Job summary

Co-op in the United Kingdom is seeking a Customer Team Leader to guide a small store team and deliver essential services to the community. You may work in our post office or bakery, or support online services and home delivery drivers, ensuring life is easier for our customers.

You'll keep shelves stocked, help drive sales, and be a familiar face in the community, promoting Co-op membership. The role offers a permanent part-time contract with 24 hours per week and regular overtime.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
