Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Leader to head a small team in a busy Co-op store. You’ll oversee daily operations, help stock shelves, and ensure great service on tills and in-store. You may work in post office, bakery, or online services as needed to support home deliveries.

You’ll lead by example, motivate staff, and drive membership growth while engaging with the local community and charities.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria: 18+ to authorise age-related sales.
• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills to support daily operations and guide a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op membership and community engagement.
