Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company Ltd in Wetherby is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor for a part-time role. The position involves 24 hours over 3 days, including some weekend shifts on a rota basis, with flexibility for additional hours during busy periods.

The role supports the Store Manager, oversees cash handling, stock rotation and customer service, and may involve training colleagues and cashier teams. 5.6 weeks' annual leave pro rata.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager with day-to-day running of the store.
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder).
• Support in training retail colleagues, including cashiers and replenishment team.
• Work on store displays, stock rotation and put away stock.
• Keep up-to-date with products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints and issues.
• Guide customers and suggest items, delivering traditional customer service.
• Cashing up duties as required and ensure pricing is accurate.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 42 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Wetherby Store.

The position is based on:

• - 24 Hours over 3 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• - To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• - Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• - Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• - Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• - Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• - Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• - Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• - Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• - Cashing up duties as and when required
• - Ensure pricing is correct.
