Yorkshire Trading Company, a growing family-owned business with 42 stores, seeks a Retail Store Supervisor for our brand new Thirsk store. This part-time role covers 32 hours over 4 days, with weekend rota on a schedule that supports busy periods.

You will assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, supervise and train colleagues, manage stock displays and pricing, and deliver outstanding customer service while handling cash-up duties and escalations as needed.

Formación

• Retail store supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to deputise in absence of Store Manager.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends on a rota.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store.
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder).
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away.
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues.
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters, delivering great customer service.
• Cashing up duties as and when required.
• Ensure pricing is correct.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 42 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

Due to continued expansion we have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team at our brand new store in Thirsk.

The position is based on:

• 32 Hours over 4 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Cashing up duties as and when required
• Ensure pricing is correct.
