Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd in the UK is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to support daily store operations and deliver a great shopping trip for customers. You will coordinate colleagues, open/close the store, manage priorities, and ensure safety and presentation meet our standards.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to respond quickly to daily needs, cover shifts when needed, and help create an inviting, customer-focused environment in a busy convenience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip for our customers.
• Open/close the store and provide duty cover while keeping customers, colleagues and safety in mind.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues when the Store Manager is absent for daily queries.
• Support the Store Manager with seasonal, community and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and well presented at all times.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf edge labels reflect our standards.
• Take immediate action on overcharges and prevent recurrence.
• Manage queues proactively to deliver a great shopping trip.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and scheduling needs.
• Be knowledgeable about the store and drive practical improvements.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure colleagues do the same.
• Communicate instructions clearly to the team and keep them informed.
• Look for ways to simplify operations and share ideas with the Store Manager.
• Always put the customer first and tailor service to their needs.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and leave them with a smile.
• Balance time between service and replenishment areas.
• Be a supportive, hands-on leader during shifts.
