Job summary

Tesco UK in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Lead to coordinate daily store operations and deliver excellent customer service. You’ll lead a team, manage handoffs across departments and help ensure smooth, friendly service throughout the shift.

The role is in-store with a minimum of 16 hours per week and hourly pay starting at £15.59, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25; roles from 12 hours are also available, and a proactive, people-first approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old required.
• Experience in team lead or management in fast-paced retail.
• Strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and meeting customer needs.
• Ability to build positive, long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team.
• Clear communicator using multiple methods to keep the team informed.
• Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.

• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
