Job summary

Veolia Group in Chesterfield is looking for a Stores/Logistics Assistant to receive, inspect and dispatch goods, while maintaining accurate stock records. You will collaborate with transport partners and the service team to ensure efficient deliveries and inventory control.

A Cat B licence and prior stores experience are essential, with forklift and COSHH training desirable. You’ll work 40 hours per week, based at VDMS Chesterfield, with a strong focus on safety, housekeeping and process

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, logistics or warehouse operations with goods receipt and dispatch.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and stock control.
• Cat B driving licence required for potential van movements.
• Forklift and/or mechanical handling certification desirable.
• COSHH and First Aid at Work training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, inspection and recording of deliveries and prepare/dispatch goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct stock audits.
• Ensure safe, organised storage and handling of goods with good housekeeping.
• Plan stock movements and respond to ad-hoc requests to support the team.
• Complete delivery paperwork and ensure records in the system are updated.
