Job summary

Veolia is recruiting a driver based in Widnes to support essential waste collection operations. You will drive to planned locations, move and empty waste containers, and perform daily vehicle checks as part of a busy rota. The role requires physical work, adherence to safety rules, and efficient use of onboard systems.

Essential Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digi/Tachograph card are required. Some prior waste management experience is desirable, with a focus on reliability and safety in a

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift bins of various weights and sizes during shifts.
• Complete daily vehicle checks per operator handbook.
• Use onboard technology to record work notes and updates.
• Adhere to traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Keep carriageways clean and promptly clean any spillages.
